OUR APPROACH TO PLAYER PROTECTION AND RESPONSIBLE GAMBLING

We are committed to promoting responsible gambling and providing a safe environment for players to enjoy our services responsibly.

As an operator licensed by GGL, LetsBet adheres to strict legal requirements and regulatory oversight to ensure that all offers are fair, transparent, and designed to prevent gambling-related harms, as well as illegal activities such as fraud, corruption, or money laundering.

The protection of minors and vulnerable individuals is a key priority. Gambling is strictly restricted to individuals aged 18 and above, and we take measures to prevent access by underage or excluded players.

To support responsible gambling, we use automated systems to detect early signs of harmful behavior and intervene when necessary. We also offer tools and resources to help you manage your account. These include account history, activity reminders, limit-setting options, player exclusion options, and access to professional support services.

All player information, player protection measures and responsible gambling tools are provided in German in accordance with applicable legal requirements. Other language versions are provided for informational purposes only. In case of any discrepancies, the German version shall prevail.

UNDERSTANDING THE RISKS OF GAMBLING

When gambling, it's important to remember that outcomes are based on luck. This means that you can win but also lose money.

You should keep in mind that different types of gambling have their own characteristics. When betting on sports events, you may think that knowledge or experience can help you make more informed decisions. However, potential gains depend on the outcome of real-world events that you cannot control, and outcomes always remain uncertain.

Virtual slot games are designed with clear rules and approved by the relevant licensing authority. These are based on certified random number generators; that is, the results are determined randomly and cannot be predicted. Game loops are often short, which can make it easier to play multiple rounds in a short amount of time. Over time, these features can affect how much you play, how long you stay active, and how much you spend.

Studies indicate that a small but significant portion of the population experiences difficulties with gambling, while more individuals may be at risk. This highlights the importance of being aware of the risks involved and being aware of your own behavior when engaging in gambling activities.

Guidelines for Responsible Gaming

To ensure that gambling remains an enjoyable activity, we recommend

  • Remember that gaming is just for entertainment and should not be seen as a way to make money.
  • Set a personal limit on the number of bets you place and don’t spend more time than you are comfortable dedicating to leisure activities.
  • Never gamble with money you need for everyday expenses or financial obligations.
  • Avoid taking out loans or borrowing money to gamble.
  • Decide in advance how much time you want to spend gambling.
  • It doesn't matter if you win or lose, stick to predetermined limits.
  • Avoid gambling if you are distracted, under the influence of alcohol or medication. Make sure to take regular breaks.
  • Avoid using gambling to deal with stress, frustration, or personal problems.
  • Pay attention to the concerns of people close to you, such as your partner, family members, friends, and colleagues, and take them seriously.
  • Try not to hide your gambling activities from people close to you and make sure to spend enough time on other hobbies and interests.

Being honest with yourself is essential. If you find it difficult to comply with these recommendations, you may contact our Customer Service team or seek professional help. More information can be found in our Help Section.

Also note that LetsBet does not offer loans for gambling and does not allow gambling with borrowed money.

OUR RESPONSIBLE GAMBLING TOOLS

Limits

LUGAS limits

During registration, you need to set a monthly cross-provider deposit limit or confirm your current one. This limit applies to your total monthly deposits across all licensed operators in Germany that are connected to LUGAS, the central gambling supervisory system.

LUGAS is operated by the Joint Gambling Authority of the German States (GGL) and is used to monitor compliance with legal and licensing requirements, prevent manipulation, and carry out checks through secure server integration-

LetsBet Limits

In addition to your LUGAS Limit, you can also set daily, weekly, or monthly limits specifically for your LetsBet account. These voluntary limits can help you manage your gambling expenses. The available LetsBet limit options are:

  • LetsBet Deposit Limits
Deposit limits allow you to set the maximum amount of money you can deposit into your LetsBet account on a daily, weekly, or monthly basis. Setting deposit limits at LetsBet is a simple way to control your gambling spending.
  • LetsBet Loss Limits
Loss limits allow you to set the maximum amount you can afford to lose by gambling over a certain period. If you make winnings during this period, those winnings are deducted from your losses. This means that your Loss Limit is based on your net losses. Once you reach this limit, no further bets can be placed on sporting events or slot games until the end of the relevant period.
  • LetsBet Stake Limits
Stake limits allow you to set a limit on the total amount you can stake over a specific period, such as daily, weekly, or monthly. Once you reach this limit, no further bets can be placed on sporting events or slot games until the end of the relevant period. Please note that this limit applies regardless of whether your bets win or lose.

All limits are based on calendar days, calendar weeks, and calendar months. A day runs from 00:00 to 23:59 CET, a week runs from Sunday 00:00 to Saturday 23:59 CET, and a month runs from 00:00 on the first day of the month to 23:59 CET on the last day of the month.

These limits are in place to comply with legal obligations and help you control your gambling behavior, and we apply them accordingly.

Before increasing your set limits, consider whether the change is appropriate for your financial situation. Do not raise your limit to chase losses, as this can lead to greater difficulties. If you request an increase, keep in mind that a 7-day waiting period will apply before the change takes effect, giving you time to reconsider your decision. Limit reduction requests will be effective immediately.

Breaks, reality checks and exclusion options

24 h Self-Exclusion

Our website and apps provide a clearly visible and permanently accessible “24h Self-Exclusion” button, which you can use to activate a 24-hour break at any time.

This short-term exclusion is automatically recorded in OASIS, the central player protection system, and applies to all licensed providers in Germany. It ends automatically after 24 hours, which means you do not need to submit an additional request to lift it.

Reality Checks

LetsBet notifies you of the time that has elapsed since a game started its use. After 60 minutes of continuous activity, a notification will be displayed to inform you of your playing time and help you keep track of your gambling behavior. You must read and confirm this notice before proceeding. After approval, there is a five-minute mandatory break to comply with our obligations as a licensed operator and give you time to consider whether you want to continue gambling.

Self-Exclusion

If you wish to stop gambling permanently or take a longer break, you can request a self-exclusion via OASIS, the national player exclusion system operated by the Darmstadt Regional Council (Regierungspräsidium Darmstadt). This option is available to you at any time, and you do not need to provide a reason. Self-exclusion is intended as a long-term measure. It can only be lifted upon your written request and no earlier than after the selected minimum period has expired. By default, this minimum period is twelve (12) months, but you can choose a shorter period when submitting your request, provided it is at least three (3) months.

Self-exclusion applies to all operators licensed in Germany. This means all licensed operators must perform OASIS checks and as a result, prevent excluded players from participating in gambling offers. According to Sections 2 (2) to (10) of the 2021 Gambling Treaty (GlüStV 2021), this includes online and land-based casinos, sports betting providers, lottery offers and other licensed gambling offers.”

  • The exclusion doesn't end automatically. You must submit a written request to the Regierungspräsidium Darmstadt to remove the exclusion. Once your request has been approved, a mandatory 7-day protection period applies before the exclusion is lifted.

How to Apply for OASIS Self-Exclusion

You can request an OASIS exemption in two ways.

  1. 1. Apply directly with the Darmstadt Board of Directors

Third-Party Exclusion

Third-party exclusion allows a person other than the player to request a gambling exclusion if they have reasonable grounds to believe that the player shows signs of addiction or harmful gambling behavior. Such a request may be submitted, for example, by a partner, family member, therapist, social worker or customer support staff, provided that the relationship to the player and the reason for concern can be documented.

The player concerned is notified of the third-party exclusion request and has the right to respond. The final decision is made by the competent authority, the Darmstadt Regional Council (Regierungspräsidium Darmstadt).

Third-party exclusions are subject to a minimum period of twelve (12) months and, like self-exclusions, apply to all licensed gambling operators in Germany connected to the OASIS system.

The exclusion does not end automatically. The excluded player must request its removal in writing after the minimum period has expired. If the request is approved, a mandatory one-month protection period applies before reactivation. Before the exclusion is lifted, the person who submitted the request may be notified and may submit a new request if necessary. The excluded player receives written confirmation and information about counselling and therapy options pursuant to Section 8a (5) GlüStV 2021.

LetsBet does not decide on third-party exclusion requests but can provide general guidance on the process upon request.

How to Apply

To initiate third-party exclusion, please use the official portal:

Worried Relatives

LetsBet considers third-party notifications (e.g. family members, friends, healthcare professionals) under GlüStV 2021 and in compliance with the GDPR.

A request to block a customer without their consent can only be made using the form Musterantrag auf Fremdsperre – Regierungspräsidium Darmstadt. This form must be filled in completely and sent directly to the competent institution.

Third parties seeking guidance or information regarding this process can contact our Customer Service team. Please note that exclusions are officially decided and registered exclusively through the OASIS system operated by the Regierungspräsidium Darmstadt.

Transparent Account and Transaction Overviews

We provide clear and easy access to account and transaction overviews so you can keep track of your gambling activity at all times.

In your account, you can see a detailed summary of your most recent transactions; including deposits, withdrawals, stakes, winnings, and losses. If you want information for a specific period other than the period shown by default, our Customer Service team can assist you.

You can see up-to-date information about your current balance, active limits, and your limit changes at any time. This gives you a clear and transparent overview of your gambling activity and helps you make informed decisions about your gambling behavior.

Game and Betting Information

We provide clear and accessible information on how our products work, so you can make informed decisions before placing a bet or playing a game on our website.

For virtual slot games: You can easily access detailed information when you load each game. This includes the rules, game mechanics, and the meaning of the symbols, the prize structure, the probability of winning the top prize, and the average payout per Euro bet. You don't need to place a bet to view this information.

For sports betting: The odds shown for each bet offered reflect the likelihood of different outcomes and indicate the potential return of the bet, thus helping you better understand how each market is priced and what potential winnings may result from your bet.

Prevention of Parallel Play (LUGAS Activity Monitoring)

German gambling regulations prohibit players from using certain regulated online gambling products with multiple licensed operators at the same time. This measure is intended to reduce the risk of excessive gambling by preventing parallel play across providers.

LetsBet complies with this requirement and participates in the interstate gambling monitoring system (LUGAS), which houses a central activity monitoring mechanism that records when a player starts and ends a gambling session. When you open a regulated gambling product, your activity is recorded in LUGAS. If you are already using a gambling product with another provider, access will be restricted in accordance with legal requirements.

This process takes place automatically and in real time. It ensures that only one restricted gambling activity can be active at the same time.

Self Tests

If you're concerned about your gaming habits, answering the following questions honestly can help you assess whether your gaming is becoming problematic:

  • Have you ever skipped work, school, or classes because of gambling?
  • Do you gamble to escape boredom, frustration or problems in your life?
  • Do you feel helpless after losing and immediately feel the need to gamble again?
  • Do you keep gambling until you spend your last money?
  • Have you ever lied about the amount of money or time you spend gambling?
  • Have friends or family ever expressed concerns about your gambling?
  • Have you lost interest in your family, friends, or hobbies because of gambling?
  • Do arguments, frustrations, or disappointments make you feel tempted to gamble?
  • Do you feel bad or hopeless because of your gambling?

The more often you answer 'yes' to these questions, the higher the likelihood that you may be developing a gambling problem.

If you would like to take another more detailed test (anonymously), you can find options on the following websites:

In addition, you can assess your gaming behavior by taking the BBGS e-screener test from the Cambridge Health Alliance.

Please note: The tests are for informational purposes only and do not replace a psychological or medical diagnosis. If you have serious concerns about your gambling behavior, please seek professional support.
